BSP to Open Selected Branches for Saturday Banking
BSP Financial Group Limited (BSP) will offer Saturday banking at selected Retail Branches nationwide commencing on Saturday 9th September, 2023.
These selected BSP Retail branches include Waigani Drive branch and Boroko branch in the National Capital District, Eriku branch in Morobe, Mt Hagen branch in the Western Highlands and Kokopo in East New Britain province from 9am to 12pm.
Whilst BSP already has a number of specialist centers that open on weekends including the NCD Lending Centre, Waterfront, SME Vision City and SME Lae, these additional branches will offer full banking services including General Enquiries, Deposit and withdrawals and other customer services.
According to BSP Group General Manager Retail Bank, Daniel Faunt, this approach is part of the bank’s efforts to provide customers with more convenient banking options.
“Providing customers with alternate times to conduct their banking will enable customers more flexibility around when they can conduct their banking” said Faunt. “Customers who are unable to attend to Branches during the week will have alternative convenient options to manage their in-branch banking needs,” he added.
BSP’s Head of Branch Network Kili Tambua further reiterated that “extended trading hours is part of a number of initiatives over the next few months that we are rolling out to reduce bank queues and improve the customer experience”.
This initiatives will include improved Complaint handling along with enhanced meet and greet services in branches as part of BSP’s efforts to lift its service delivery.
Mr Tambua added that “these initiatives are currently undergoing pilot in a few branches and will be expanded in coming weeks to further enhance customers experience in branches”.
