Position Details
Abou the Role
This position is based in Port Moresby and reports to the Senior Portfolio Manager - Wholesale. The successful candidate will be responsible to ensure adequate support to the Senior Portfolio Manager –Wholesale, in ensuring optimum value is delivered to the overall oversight of clients’ portfolios with respect investments; and compliance to the prudential standards, regulations, legislation and the respective investment management agreements efficiently.
Key Deliverables
- Timely report on asset monitoring; Investment analysis on underlying investments in client’s portfolio.
- Provide regular, and at least monthly, investment portfolio rebalancing and performance report.
- Conduct asset reviews on existing investments in the client’s investment portfolio, including traveling to client investment sites.
- Provide evaluation and analysis of business and asset valuations. Provide portfolio analysis reports and recommendation to clients. Analyze previous investment decisions and generating key takeaways. Conduct peer review of financial analysis, modelling, and reports.
- Calculating risks and opportunities for potential and current clients, through the evaluation of securities, stocks, bonds, and other financial assets, for underlying investments in client’s portfolio.
- Provide research on business financials, and in-depth analyses of market trends and performance, and advise clients and also contribute to financial decision-making through research and analysis.
Essential Qualifications, Professional/Skills and Experience:
- Tertiary qualifications in Commerce, Business Administration, Finance and/or Economics;
- Research Skills;
- Advanced technical skills in financial modelling. Technical Skills in data processing.
- Technical Skills in cost analysis, forecasting.
- Advanced technical skills in Risk analysis, and Risk Management. Intermediate technical skills in Treasury and International transactions; Proficient with Microsoft Office Applications.
- Advanced technical skills in Compliance/Legislation; Advanced Knowledge in Policies/Procedures;
- Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience with a bank / financial institution or an Investment Company with particular exposure to Investment Analysis and Deal Transaction Assessment skills.
